Young, actively growing plant with a well-established root system and branching. Typical root zone is approximately 4 inches in diameter with minimal branching. Stage 2 beginner plant ready to be repotted and grown on to it's finished, mature size. Planting & Care: Repot into a 6 to 10 inch pot and allow root zone to grow larger before setting out into the landscape within the recommended Zone Range.

• Allamanda schottii or Bush Allamanda is large, upright growing evergreen tropical flowering shrub that is native to Brazil. It has a full, bushy growth habit and is a colorful and profuse bloomer that is easy to grow in tropical and subtropical climates.
• Bright, sunny, golden yellow, bell shaped blooms appear in abundance from mid spring to late fall, and are surrounded by dense, dark green leathery textured, pointed leaves. The flowers are followed by an interesting round, prickly, bur like seed pod, that add additional visual interest.
• Care: Plant in fertile well-draining soil or potting media. Water as needed to maintain consistent soil moisture. Feed a good quality, slow-release, bloom-boosting fertilizer annually in Spring. Prune in late summer after flowering and well ahead of the winter dormancy period.
• Indoor Growing: Allamandas need the full spectrum of bright, direct light for a minimum of 6 to 8 hours daily, warm temperatures with at least a 10* day/night differential, and high ambient humidity in order. Note that water needs decrease significantly during winter dormancy.
• Climate: Allamandas are semi-tropical plants and recommended for USDA Growing Zones 8B, 9, 10, 11. They enter a winter dormant resting phase and are generally consider root hardy within that zone range under average conditions. However, for the best overall appearance, earliest flowering, and longest life, we recommend cold protection in all Zones.
